Alumina ceramics, silicon carbide ceramics nd zirconia ceramics

Alumina ceramic is simple in material, mature in manufacturing technology, relatively low in cost, excellent in hardness and wear resistance. It is mainly used in wear-resistant ceramic pipes, wear-resistant valves as lining materials, and can also be welded with studs or pasted to the inner wall of separation equipment such as industrial vertical mill, powder concentrator and cyclone, which can provide 10 times wear resistance of equipment surface. In wear-resistant materials, the market share of alumina materials can reach about 60% ~ 70%.

The most significant characteristic of SiC ceramic material is good thermal shock resistance. Under high temperature conditions, the material has stable mechanical properties and can be used stably at 1800 ℃ for a long time. The second characteristic is that the silicon carbide material can be used to form large products with small deformation. It is mainly used in preheater hanging piece of cement industry, high temperature wear-resistant ceramic nozzle, coal falling pipe and high-temperature conveying pipe of thermal power industry. For example, the nozzles of burners in thermal power plants are basically made of silicon carbide, and the products have the characteristics of high temperature resistance and wear resistance. The sintering methods of silicon carbide ceramics include reaction sintering and pressureless sintering. The cost of reaction sintering is low, the products are relatively rough, and the density of pressureless vacuum sintering products is relatively high. The hardness of the products is similar to that of alumina products, but its price is much higher.

The bending resistance of zirconia ceramic materials is better than that of brittle materials. The current market price of zirconia powder is relatively expensive, which is mainly used in high-end fields, such as dental materials, artificial bone, medical devices, etc.
