All proprietary silicon carbide based materials can be cast into very complex shapes, displaying tight and repeatable tolerances that ensure repeated ease of installation. Expect a more abrasion resistant product than cast steels, rubber and urethane alone at one-third the weight of their steel counterparts. All offer much higher thermal and corrosion resistance.
Hydrocyclone can be used for reaction bonded silicon carbide ceramic available for lower cones and spigots. Silicon carbides offer superior wear at high temperatures, yielding a long life in the most abrasive environments. ZPC can manufacture intricate and large shaped designs to meet your specifications. ZPC Silicon Carbide formulations include:
- Reaction bonded: provides great wear performance
- Fine grain: provides excellent wear performance and is used for thin-wall applications
- Coarse grain: provides excellent wear performance and is used for thick-wall and higher impact applications
- Ultra grain: provides the ultimate wear performance for extremely high chemical and abrasion resistance
